QUALITY AND INSTALLATION-
Q: Why do I see small cracks in my painted cabinet doors?
A: Changes in humidity cause your cabinet to expand and contract. Cracks result from this expansion and contraction, which show up in the joints where the pieces of wood come together.
These cracks are more likely to be seen (or noticed) on a painted cabinet than on a cabinet with a stain finish. A cabinet with a stain finish has more “activity” in the door or drawer front; although the cracks are still there, they are less noticeable. In the cabinet industry, these hairline cracks are called “witness lines.” These witness lines are not considered “defects,” nor do they affect the integrity of your cabinet doors, drawers, or cabinet boxes. They are normal and you will most likely see them at some point during the life of your cabinets.
If you do see these witness lines, they should be very thin, and the paint should not be chipping or peeling off. It should be a separation of the wood and the paint, where the pieces of wood are joined together. To avoid hairline cracks, you could consider a one-piece door option (Slab, Highline, Shaker MDF) for painted finishes.
Q: What are the recommended guidelines for pre-installation care and installation of your adhesive veneers?
A: We defer to the manufacturer’s guidelines for acclimating, surface prep and application. Their guidelines can be found by clicking below. Please unroll veneers and allow to lay flat for at least 48 hours before installation.

SHIPPING-
Q: What are your shipping options?
A: Our refacing products are generally shipped through UPS Ground or 2 Day, depending on what you select.
Cabinet boxes (Refacing Plus) are shipped assembled and on pallets by freight through ABF. Our freight shipments require a forklift or a loading/unloading dock to receive. If you don’t have have either, please select ‘Freight With Liftgate Service’ as your shipping method. Or you can ship to a local receiving warehouse to receive your orders, if one is available.
Woodland is not responsible for additional liftgate charges on freight shipments where the liftgate service was needed but not selected when the order was placed.
