Woodland designers guide kitchen and cabinet projects throughout the stages of concept, design, production, and installation. Our kitchen designers are capable multi-taskers, able to effectively balance a variety of creative, technical, customer service and managerial tasks.
Our designers work closely with the sales team to assist in qualifying potential customers based on budgets, project time frames, and design direction. Once qualified, they use provided drawings and inspiration imagery to select cabinet options and create designs that fit the customer’s budgetary needs while providing design direction.
They are proficient in using one or various software platforms such as 2020 Design to create beautiful designs. Provide status updates to customers throughout the design, approval, production, and installation phases, and resolve issues and delays in a timely manner as is possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers online, in person, or at the job site to guide them through the design process.
- May travel to job sites and provide accurate field measures.
- Use 20/20 Design or similar to create inspiring yet technically sound designs.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers when a requested design option isn’t possible, making recommendations to move the project forward.
- Oversee project to ensure invoices are sent and payments are collected.
- Oversee their projects throughout the design, approval, assembly, and installation phases.
- Collaborate regularly with internal team, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve current performance and become more effective.

Compensation:
· $50,000 – $60,000 Salary plus commissions
Schedule:
· Monday to Friday
- 10 hour shift
- 4×10
- Day shift
- Overtime
Minimum Job Requirements:
· 2 years minimum of Kitchen design experience
· 2 years minimum experience with kitchen design platforms: 2020 Design or similar
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback and work in a highly collaborative performance driven team
- Ability to read architectural plans and posses solid understanding of construction processes such as cabinetry, tile, countertops, lighting, plumbing, and hardware
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Must be organized and able to multi-task
- Must be willing to work in Idaho Falls, ID area
Physical Requirements:
- Throughout a normal workday, long periods of standing and/or sitting and using a mouse and keyboard are required.
